Outback Steakhouse takes great pride in giving back.
We have a strong commitment to improve the quality
of life in each of our communities. Being good neighbors
is more than just an idea; it is the driving force
in how we do business. Each of our restaurants seeks
out local groups and events with which to share its
food, time and money. By enlisting the volunteer
spirit of our Outbackers, our restaurants create
awareness of local groups and help build our communities
from within.

Cooking for a Good Cause
Volunteers from the Salvation
Army and the Tupelo, Mississippi Outback Steakhouse
prepared nearly 859 boxed lunches to raise money
for this year’s annual Take Out for Tutoring
Boxed Lunch Fundraiser. The funds raised went directly
to the Salvation Army’s after-school tutoring
program, which provides a vital local service to
at-risk students.

Outback Donates Food for Enterprise,
AL Prom Night
Just months after a deadly tornado
ripped through Enterprise High School, Outback
Steakhouse pitched in to make prom night even more
memorable. Outback, along with Sara Lee, donated
all the food for the Alabama high school’s
pre-prom dinner. Celebrity chef Rachael Ray was
on-hand to cover the event for her cable TV show.

Culinary
Students Learn Life Lessons at Model Outback
Outback
has partnered with Tampa, Florida's
Chamberlain High School to build an Outback look-alike
facility on campus. The model restaurant serves
as a classroom for Chamberlain's culinary
students to learn customer service techniques and
restaurant management. Chef Erik Youngs, who runs
the Culinary Operations Academy, says the partnership
"gives real world tie in and relevance that the
students need to attach themselves to the lessons
we are trying to teach."

Outbackers Provide
Relief for Tornado-stricken Central Florida
Tornadoes ravaged parts of Central Florida on February 2, 2007, leaving a path
of destruction, injuries, and fatalities. True to form, Outbackers acted swiftly
in donating their personal time and resources to assist in the relief efforts.

Feeding Freedom IV
In September 2005 Outback Steakhouse Incorporated completed it's 4th mission
to feed our overseas troops. We prepared over 16,000 meals for servicemen and
women aboard the USS Nimitz, at Camp Lemonier in Djibouti, Africa, and the NSA
base in Bahrain. During previous missions we had sent twenty-one Outbackers to
three Iraqi cities (Al Asad, Baqubah and Mosul) in January 2004, and in June
2002 and January 2003 we had sent fifteen Outbackers to Afghanistan (Kandahar
and Bagram).
