Outback Steakhouse® Opens New Restaurant in North Jacksonville

New Location First to Feature New Interior and Exterior Design in Jacksonville Area

Jacksonville, FL (July 29, 2013) – A new Outback Steakhouse® will open at 795 Skymarks Drive in North Jacksconville on August 5, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. for lunch.  The new location will be the first in the Jacksonville area to feature a new building design both inside and out.

“The north side of Jacksonville is developing rapidly and Outback is excited to be a part of the growth in this community,” said Jason Luj, Managing Partner of the North Jacksonville Outback Steakhouse®.

Outback Steakhouse® is an award winning restaurant, known for grilled steak, chicken and seafood made with fresh, high quality ingredients. The North Jacksvonville Outback will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony with the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce on Monday, August 5 at 11:00 a.m. prior to the lunchtime opening.

To show its support of the local communities, 50 percent of  the Jacksonville Outback’s opening day sales (up to $5,000.00) will benefit the Boselli Foundation that provides after school and summer camp programs for at-risk youth.

“Modern Australia” Design

The new exterior signals change while maintaining elements of the original design.  The North Jacksonville Outback design features an outdoor patio, exposing heavy timber detailing and featuring louvers and screens.

Inside, guests are greeted in a space with a tall ceiling with several elements that make the room warm and inviting.  The large, open ceiling features heavy timber and light fixtures that suspend light bulbs above and below the timbers.  The inviting lobby showcases spices used in the kitchen, and a video entertains with footage shot in the Australian Outback.  The dining room features décor that accents the indigenous flora and fauna, adventure, geography and leisure of modern Australia. The new restaurant also features a spacious, energetic bar area that includes a community table -  a great place to meet up with friends and enjoy specialty beer, wine and hand-crafted cocktails.

Don’t Forget Lunch Mate!

Our North Jacksonville  location will also be open for lunch daily. Our lunch menu features a wide variety of fast and affordable options including Endless Soup & Salad for just $6.99, lunch combos including the Classic Cheeseburger or Chicken Artichoke Flatbread paired with a soup or salad for just $7.99 or lunch-sized steak plates for just $9.99.
