Auburn Wins 2010 Outback Bowl in Overtime, 38-35
A total of 18 Outback Bowl records were broken and another 10 were tied as the Auburn Tigers defeated the Northwestern Wildcats in a wild 38-35 contest January 1st that featured trick plays, a 100 yard interception return and the Tigers rushing the field to celebrate three times in the final minutes.
About the Outback Bowl
The Outback Bowl is a New Year's Day college football game matching teams from the SEC and Big Ten Conference. 2010's match-up was the Auburn Tigers and Northwestern Wildcats, who squared-off for the first time in history in the Outback Bowl. The Tigers will returned to the bowl for the first time in 14 years while 2010 was the Wildcats first appearance in the bowl.
